While I don’t care for their vocals, the music in the songs is surprisingly good. The world could use some strong bass lines and brass about now

The butt of many jokes, they couldn’t get arrested in the post disco years, but every track on that album is a banger. Also, disco has aged really well.

They weren’t just a disco flash in the pan. They’d been around a long time and paid their dues.  They were good.

Funniest thing Jimmy Fallon ever did. By a mile, And I don’t hate Jimmy but this is next level comedy gold, just the song and dance alone is gold..

There was a period in the 90s in the UK where the standard chart topping formula was as follows: take a bunch of easy on the eye talent optional cretins, stick them on a prime time TV singing show (Pop Idol etc) for a few weeks. At the end have them record a Bee Gees cover -pay for heavy radio rotation- bam #1 hit single, profit.

It was a dark time, think I’m gonna go buy a Napster t-shirt to say thanks
